I just interviewed yesterday with Chelsea at The Art Stash, a local art supply store in East County San Diego. She is considering me for her Brand Ambassador position where it's be demonstrating art supplies to customers in the store and playing in the new products to see what they can do. Really excited about it. </p>

<p dir="ltr">For example I was given samples of QoR watercolor ground in rough, medium and smooth and will be starting by reviewing them. For now I'll attach the watercolor painting I made on one of the samples, I'll be posting a detailed review next week. <br>

<p dir="ltr">Well, I hadn't really painted since then either but I'm painting <u>again</u>. I'm working on rebuilding my www.kimwyatt.com artist website and will soon be offering prints of my art and the original paintings for sale. </p>

The link to the original post is at the end of the post. </div><div><br></div><div> I do not want to make this a tale of woe is me but I feel a need to acknowledge where I&rsquo;ve been with my art before making any firm decisions on where to go with it now. <div><br></div><div> I used to paint and market my art a good 30 to 40 hours a week while my husband and I raised our two sons and we both worked 40 hours a week in regular jobs. </div><div><br></div><div> I was getting my work accepted into juried group shows, selling consistently and even had both private and public art commissions. </div><div><br></div><div> Shortly after I started making these achievements I was diagnosed with a chronic health condition. Ulcerative Colitis. I was able to keep painting and working full time but I was difficult to commit to deadlines or attend art events so in the sense that it kept me from going out and personally networking and marketing my art it affected my art career. </div><div><br></div><div> My illness never really showed up in my paintings. But it got harder and harder to keep 2 full time jobs going and eventually I had to focus on the day job the paid the bills and since we were in the recession I gave myself a leave of absence from my painting career. </div><div><br></div><div> So now, I'm having to face the fact that the traditional 40 workforce no longer works for me. I end up so run down I keep having to take disability time off. Over and over. At this point I'm returning to my art as something to keep myself active while I work thru the disability process. Of course, like every artist out there I'd love to replace my lost wages with sales of art. But realistically it's been so long it feels almost like I'm a newb again.</div><div><br></div><div>http://kimwyattsart.tumblr.com/post/107076595504/2015-a-good-year-to-start-my-art-over-in<div class="blogger-post-footer">Artist Kim Wyatt's blog about her original fine art animal, horse, dog, cat, lion, bird and floral paintings. So, on those days I had to take him to my art classes with me. </p>
<p>When I would take into my art classes, the other students and I will explain to him and try to keep working for him to understand. But we would also use the correct terms. We talked to him about things like conceptual art, foreshortening, composition what are the differences between realism on abstract art. </p>
<p>The staff in the day care center was always saying he was to quiet in class did not participate. they even accused me of not talking to him at home, so they were surprised the class took a field trip to the art department. When the class got to the sculpture found in the courtyard the teacher told them it was abstract art. Adrian spoke up telling the class and the teacher that the sculpture was kinetic art and that kinetic means it moves and non objective art because it didn't have any recognizable objects in it. </p>
<p>He was very proud of himself because he knew something, even the teacher didn't know. the staff in the daycare center was amazed that a preschooler could learn, understand and use correctly such big and abstract ideas and words to describe art. His vocabulary was bigger than the other childrens, he was just shy.</p>
<p> Because we all talked to him like and equal when he went to my art classes with me, he had confidence in himself when it came to art. <br><br></p>
